Historically, the annual school auction has been our biggest fundraiser of the year.
We haven’t had an in-person auction since before the pandemic and we are so excited to be able to bring this adult-only event back to the community!
Note: We are still working on finding childcare options but it wouldn’t hurt to start exploring your own.
What is the Auction?
This is an exciting evening consisting of a silent auction, food & drinks, a live auction, a moment of giving, and we finish the night off with a dance party!!
Who does it benefit?
The money is used for the sole purpose of hiring additional staff members for Maplewood. Each year there is a discrepancy between the funds provided by PPS and the actual staff needs of Maplewood. In past years we have needed to use Foundation dollars to hire a PE teacher or save our beloved librarian – Elin Kordahl. In recent years, the funds have been used to support Educational Assistants.
What is our fundraising goal?
This year our goal for the auction is $60,000 and we can’t do it without your help!

What is covered by my ticket?

Included with each ticket will be an assigned bidder number (one bidder number will be assigned to each couple purchasing Couples Tickets) to participate in both the silent and live auctions, two drink tickets, appetizers, and dinner.
What should I wear?
This year our theme is Spring Into Giving and we’re encouraging folks to dress up for a PNW Cocktail party! That means heels or Birkenstock–wear whatever makes you feel good!!
Who can attend?
Adults in our school community and beyond! You are welcome to invite your friends and family–the more the merrier! Just no kiddos, unfortunately.
What are the ‘VIP Reserved Table’ tickets?
These limited tickets include a reserved table for 10 guests, plus 10 extra drink tickets, and get to go first in line for dinner.
Is the money that I spend tax-deductible?
Some things are valid for tax deductions, and some things aren’t. Money spent during the moment of giving is 100% deductible. Event tickets and silent auction items are not usually eligible for a deduction but it’s best to always consult with a tax expert!
